BARELY ANY COOKIES HERE.
We're not in the business of following you around the internet. Here's the full, honest rundown of what we use and why.

What Even Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies can be useful — they remember your preferences, keep you logged in, or help websites understand how people use them.
They can also be used to track your behaviour across the entire internet, build advertising profiles, and sell that data to third parties. That kind is what people hate. We don't use those.
Our Cookie Inventory
Full transparency — here's every cookie category that could apply to a service like this, and whether we use it.
Required for the service to function — things like CSRF tokens, session state, security headers. If used, they contain no personal data and expire when you close your browser.
Store your choices to improve your experience — e.g. remembering a selected language. Currently not in active use.
Track how users move through the site, which pages are popular, where people drop off. We do not use any analytics cookies or third-party analytics platforms.
Used to show you targeted ads based on your browsing history, build profiles, and track you across sites. We use none of these. Ever.
Set by social platforms (Facebook Pixel, Twitter/X tag, TikTok Pixel) to track conversions and build audiences. Not present on this site.
Third-Party Cookies
We use two external services. Neither plants tracking cookies in your browser.
Anthropic (Claude API)
We call their API server-side from our backend. Your browser never communicates directly with Anthropic's servers, so no Anthropic cookies are set in your browser.
Resend
Used server-side to send results emails. No Resend scripts run in your browser, so no Resend cookies are set.
If we ever embed third-party widgets (video players, maps, share buttons) that set their own cookies, we'll add them to this list.
What About Local Storage?
Cookies aren't the only way browsers store data. There's also localStorage and sessionStorage. Here's our usage:
- The app may use sessionStorage to hold your results temporarily while you're on the page — this is cleared the moment you close the tab.
- We don't write to localStorage to persist data between sessions.
- No financial data, scores, or roasts are ever written to browser storage in a way that persists after your session ends.
Your Choices
You're always in control of what's stored in your browser.
- Browser settings: Every modern browser lets you block, delete, or inspect cookies. Check your browser's privacy settings.
- Incognito / private mode: Cookies and storage are automatically wiped when you close a private window. Works great for a clean session.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies: You can block these, but the service may not function correctly if you do.
Since we don't use analytics or advertising cookies, there's no cookie banner or consent manager on this site. If our cookie usage ever changes in a way that requires consent, we'll add one.
