We support PDF bank statements (the kind you'd download from your bank's website) and CSV exports. Most banks offer at least one of these. If neither works, you can try the 16-question quiz instead — no file required.
The AI is good at identifying broad spending patterns, but it's not a precise audit. It can misread formatting, miscategorize a transaction, or produce slightly different scores for similar statements. Treat the score as a directional signal — not an accountant's verdict.
A few common reasons: the PDF didn't parse cleanly, some transactions were misread, or currency detection was off. If something looks wildly wrong, try re-exporting from your bank or use the quiz instead. You can also check that your statement is in plain-text PDF (not a scanned image).
Only with their explicit consent. Uploading someone's financial data without their knowledge isn't okay — legally or ethically. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any file you submit.
Your results are encoded as a Base64 string and embedded directly in the link URL — nothing is stored on our servers. When you request the email, we send it once immediately and don't retain your address. The link works as long as we haven't changed the encoding format.

We work with any bank statement in PDF or CSV format — there's no country or bank restriction. The AI automatically detects the currency. Results are best for English-language statements; Sinhala and Tamil support is experimental and may be less accurate.
Make sure the file is a standard PDF or CSV export from your bank. Password-protected PDFs won't work — remove the password before uploading. Scanned-image PDFs (where the text isn't selectable) also won't work. If it keeps failing, try the quiz instead.
Hit the Share button after your results load. You'll get a shareable preview link with your score and verdict. You can also email yourself a deep link using the Email button — that link contains your full results encoded in the URL.
